The Satmar Chassidic court added its voice Thursday night to a call by Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger to boycott members of the extremist Neturei Karta Chassidic sect who participated in a two-day Holocaust denial conference in Teheren this week.

The members of the anti-Zionist Neturei Karta group were photographed hugging and kissing Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, an anti-Semite who has repeatedly called for the State of Israel to be “wiped off the map” and who promised at the conference that Israel would “soon no longer be.”

The statement called on Jews “to keep away from them and condemn their actions,” an order tantamount to placing the men in cherem (excommunication), similar to the call by Rabbi Metzger on Thursday.

The participation of the Neturei Karta members at the conference organized and led by Ahmadinejad was “an act of madness,” said the Satmar statement...

THE SATMAR STATEMENT

The Congregation Yetev Lev and the international Satmar Chasidic movement, takes issue with and strongly condemns the irresponsible actions and statements of a small group of individuals who were erroneously identified as Chasidic rabbis because of their dress and mannerism. They are not affiliated, nor are they members of our community. Their behavior is contrary to the Torah and the teachings of our venerated Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, the founder and leader of the Satmar movement.

These people have appeared and participated in an international conclave of known bigots and anti-Semites in Tehran, Iran.

The formal agenda of this so-called "conference" is to cast doubt and deny the most horrific and tragic occurrence of civilized history the 'holocaust', where the entire Jewish nation was decimated and slaughtered. Indeed, virtually no Jewish family living today is untouched by the atrocities of the holocaust.

These shameless scourges, masquerade as pious Jews, while betraying their ancestry and forebears. In a sick attempt for attention they trample on the memory of their ancestors and people by embracing the disciples of their murderers.

The unavenged blood of the millions of Jewish martyrs cries out in pain and abhorrence, to these reckless outcasts. How low can you sink?

We, the entire Chassidic community distance ourselves from these disguised individuals and denounce them to the entire world.

We hope and pray for the day that the A-mighty will avenge the spilled oceans of innocent Jewish blood and brings the ultimate redemption.
